Description
Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Zorro’
This beautiful, rounded, deciduous shrub has intense, tooth-shaped green leaves that give a stunning background. In the summer and autumn, dark purple-brown stems carry huge, lace-cap heads of deep blue-purple flowers. Hydrangeas planted in alkaline soils generate deeper pink blooms, whereas those grown in acid soils produce predominantly blue blooms. Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Zorro’ is also a fantastic cut flower, and has been given a prestigious RHS AGM! 1.5m (5′) in height and spread.
