Description
Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Ice Crystal’
This compact variety of oak-leaved hydrangea grows to only just over a metre once mature, making it perfect for smaller growing spaces and patio pots. From mid summer to autumn, Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Ice Crystal’ produces conical panicles of white flowers and the attractive oak-like foliage takes on red and purple hues in the autumn. Oak-leaved hydrangeas require very little maintenance or pruning and love a sunny or semi-shaded spot. These resilient plants make a great choice for woodland gardens or mixed borders and are more tolerant of drought than mophead varieties once established. Height and spread: 1-1.2m (39-47in).
