Juniperus horizontalis ‘Icee Blue’
One of the finest prostrate conifers introduced in recent years is Juniperus horizontalis ‘Icee Blue.’ The silvery-blue evergreen leaves of this well-branched Creeping Juniper rapidly produce a carpet of plummy-bronze tones during the coldest winters. This amazing shrub, which stands at 15cm (6) tall but spreads 2m (6′,5), is ideal for forming an evergreen groundcover. The RHS has given Juniperus horizontalis ‘Icee Blue’ an Award of Garden Merit because it is easy to grow, requires little maintenance, and tolerates a broad range of environments. Height: 15cm (6).
