This low growing cultivar has a neat, compact habit, as suggested by its name. Lavender ‘Devonshire Compact’ bears a profusion of blue flower spikes topped with distinctive purple bracts throughout the summer. The silvery-green foliage is aromatic and evergreen. In the garden, French lavender can be used in a variety of ways. Because of its fragrant blooms and foliage, it is ideal for sensory gardens, wildlife areas, and cut flower borders.
