The low, spreading evergreen shrub Leucothoe keiskei ‘Royal Ruby’ thrives in acid margins. It’s grown for its glossy green foliage, which turns bright crimson in the winter, adding a wonderful burst of colour. Clusters of little white flowers appear in the spring, emitting a light fragrance. On acid soils, this resistant shrub creates a superb ground cover, adding year-round seasonal interest to the garden. Height: 60cm (24). Spread: 120cm (48).
