Lilac Dwarf ‘Tinkerbelle’
Lilac Dwarf ‘Tinkerbelle’ is a remarkably consolidated variety with a tidy, rounded habit that makes a superb patio shrub. The result of a cross between S. meyeri ‘Palibin’ and S. microphylla ‘Superba’ is this closely packed, dwarf, upright, non-suckering shrub. In late spring, wine-red buds open to disclose panicles of these twinkling pink flowers with the most magnificent smell. Plant it in sunny mixed borders instead, where it will attract a plethora of pollinating insects. Height and spread: 120cm (48).
