The foliage of Mentha pulegium produces an intense peppermint aroma when crushed and is traditionally used to make a wonderfully refreshing mint tea. From June to August, eye-catching lilac flower spikes create a beautiful display and will attract plenty of pollinators to the garden. This hardy perennial is perfect for moist soils, sunny borders and the edge of ponds. Height: 20cm (8). Spread: 50cm (20). Planting depth: Zones 1 & 2 to 5cm (2) below water level. Culinary Herb note: Some parts of these plants are edible and can be used as herbs to add flavour and colour to your meals.
