Fully hardy, Metasequoia glyptostroboides ‘Gold Rush’ is a great specimen tree, that suits large gardens, public spaces or grand estates where it can grow to its full potential. A deciduous conifer that is vigorous, not as much as the Redwood variety. Spring and summer sees bright gold-yellow foliage, transforming into yellow-brown in autumn months. Red colour bark then peels and takes on an aged, gnarled look that is attractive in winter gardens. Height: 8m (26′). Spread 4m (13′).
