Description
Monstera deliciosa
Swiss Cheese Plants, otherwise known in Latin terms as Monstera Deliciosa, is one of the most popular house plants around, due to its huge, glossy and rich green leaves that have holes to allow sunlight to reach fellow leaves below ? clever! Makes a real statement in any room in the house and is renowned for its almost ?unkillable? status, which although regular watering is certainly advised, requires very little watering if kept in the right conditions indoors. Happy in temperatures of 18c ? 24c, kept away from draughts, radiators and direct sunlight to avoid scorching of leaves. Soil should be dry when watering to avoid overwatering and bogging down roots. Thrives in humidity so in the ideal environment, it will sit on a tray filled with water and pebbles, which will increase humidity in the room as the water evaporates. Height and spread: 2.5m (8′).
