With larger flowers on smaller plants, Nepeta grandiflora ‘Summer Magic’ earns its space in small gardens and containers. Shorter, more upright stems, gives ‘Summer Magic’ a much more manageable, erect habit than other varieties which tend to flop and smother neighbouring plants. Clumps of aromatic grey-green leaves are topped by spikes of lavender-blue flowers from June to September, creating a buzz with pollinators. Nepeta ‘Summer Magic’ is an invaluable perennial with low watering requirements. It is a go-to choice for edging borders and can be trimmed into a low hedge – making an easier alternative to lavender.
