Nepeta ‘Panther Mix’
Nepetas immediately bring to mind dry, Mediterranean style gravel gardens, but this variety of Nepeta subsessilis offers something a little different, offering short spikes of bold flowers that will thrive in shade. Nepeta ‘Panther Mix’ forms compact, bushy clumps of aromatic, lush green leaves topped with short, upright spikes of large, tubular flowers. The blooms come in a harmonious mix of cool pastel shades through white, lavender, lilac and blue. This compact, deciduous perennial is a good choice for the front of a shady border or container-growing, offering a long flowering season that runs from mid-summer to autumn and nectar-rich flowers that will attract a host of pollinators to wildlife-friendly gardens.
