Oenothera Sunset Boulevard’s glowing, subtly shifting hues are simply stunning. Few perennials have this color palette, so Sunset Boulevard is an especially valuable addition to the border. Tall spikes bear whorls of large, cup-shaped flowers that open during the day. When backlit in the afternoon sun, the blooms transition from pale tangerine to apricot to crimson red, with the combination of open and spent blooms creating a gorgeous glowing sunset. Sunset Boulevard blooms profusely from summer to autumn and is ideal for cottage gardens, coastal areas, dry gardens, and rockeries.
