Osmanthus heterophyllus is versatile, growing in most soil conditions as a unique but also oddly close appearing shrub to a holly tree. Its evergreen foliage is dense and multi-spine, producing flowers which soon turn into small black-blue fruits ? not the typical red of a holly. Otherwise known as Holly Olive or the Chinese Holly, Osmanthus heterophyllus is easy to grow and low maintenance. Height: 5m (16′). Spread 5m (16′).
