Description
Parthenocissus tricuspidata ‘Veitchii Robusta’
An award-winning deciduous vine that will create a magnificent display of colour in autumn. Parthenocissus tricuspidata ?Veitchii Robusta? is smothered in large, glossy, vibrant green leaves in summer which transforms to fantastic shades of crimson, purple and orange in autumn. In May and June, discreet, green-white flowers emerge followed by blue-black berries that birds will love. This Boston Ivy is a self-clinging, vigorous climber that requires very little maintenance, swiftly covering garden eyesores, dry banks, trellis and fences as well as being particularly useful for tricky areas on shaded north or east-facing walls. Parthenocissus tricuspidata ?Veitchii Robusta? grows well in a wide variety of soils and is drought tolerant once established. A versatile shrub that will thrive in full sun or shade but grow in semi-shade to achieve the best autumn colour. Height: 20m (65ft). Spread: 10m (32ft).
