Description
Peach ‘Red Peachy’
Peach ‘Red Peachy’ is a dwarf peach that makes a charming ornamental tree as well as bearing edible fruits. In April, it bears a profusion of showy red blossom held in dense clusters that not only delivers spring impact but offers a banquet to hungry pollinators emerging from winter hibernation. Small, light yellow fruits with red blotches become sweet and fully mature in August/September. It makes a neat specimen for a large container on a balcony or terrace and its petite size also suits small garden borders. Self-fertile, it doesn’t require a pollination partner. Peach ‘Red Peachy’ is slow-growing and requires only minimal pruning – simply pinch out the new shoot tips in spring to keep the tree small and bushy. Height: 1.5m (4.9ft). Spread: 75cm (2.4ft).
