Pear ‘Red William’ is a wonderful red version of one of the world’s most popular pear varieties. This red ‘clone’ is just as sweet as the original William’s pear, but with the added appeal of red skin and being slightly smaller than Pear ‘Williams Bon Chretien’. Pear and Quince rootstocks: Quince C/Quince Eline/Quince Adams-Dwarf to 2.5-3m (8-10′) mature height. Quince A-Semi-vigorous, growing to a mature height of 3 m (10′) to 4 m (13′). This variety is semi-self-fertile. It is best grown with another variety for the heaviest crops. If you only have room for one tree, make sure a neighbor has a tree nearby that can serve as a suitable pollinator. Pollination Group 3 Once planted, the estimated time to harvest the first crop is two years. The best yield is estimated to be 5 years.
