Persicaria bistorta ‘Superba’
This knotweed is adaptable and robust! Persicaria bistorta ‘Superba’ is a cottage garden favourite that blooms profusely in pale pink spikes from midsummer through September. Bees and other pollinating insects are drawn to the attractive blossoms that emerge above thick clusters of semi-evergreen foliage. It can tolerate the majority of circumstances, including soggy pond edges, with the exception of very dry soils. Despite its vitality, this RHS AGM cultivar needs little care and can essentially be left alone. Allowing this hardy perennial to stretch out freely will provide a charming, natural appearance. The robust spreading habit of this cultivar makes it an excellent ground cover. Height and spread: 90cm (36).
