Description
Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Bannow Bay’
Thought to be one of the most attractive evergreen shrubs around, Pittosporums produce compact foliage with wavy edges that come in a range of cream and purple variegations. Pittosporum ?Bannow Bay? is a superb variety as it provides both of those colours! At the beginning of the season the foliage is light green with a cream margin and then in late summer it takes on pink tones before transforming into glossy maroon after the first frosts. This dwarf evergreen is slow-growing and has a dense bushy habit that forms a neat mound that won’t need trimming regularly and keeps its natural shape. Pittosporum ?Bannow Bay? is an excellent alternative to box topiary or low hedging with no need to worry about box moth caterpillar or box blight. Also great for providing year-round colour in small garden borders and patio pots. Height: 1m (39in). Spread: 60cm (24in).
