RHS AGM award winning variety, Plum ?Czar? is large, purple-black in colour and is so tasty in pies and crumbles. Leave on the tree to ripen for the best tasting fresh plums. The tree itself is attractive, producing very large white blooms in late spring, that attract bees and pollinators. Plum ?Czar? shows good resistance to frost, ideal for cold locations in the UK, still being able to harvest in late July to September. Plum rootstocks: VVA1 – Dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 2m (6′,6) Ferlinane – Semi dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 2.5m (8′) St. Julien – Semi vigorous reaching a mature height of up to 4.5m (14′) This variety is self-fertile and does not require a pollination partner.
