Description
Pontederia cordata (Marginal Aquatic)
Heart-shaped green leaves with clusters of blue flowers borne on a spike. A tall late flowering structural plant. It is free flowering and slowly grows into a large clump. Little maintenance is required. Trim just above the water surface after foliage has died back in autumn to tidy. Flowers July-September. Minimum height 70cm; maximum height 90cm. Minimum depth 10cm; maximum depth 20cm. Medium growth rate. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner.
