Pontederia cordata var. lanceolata is considerably taller than the common Pickerel Weed, making a real statement at the margins of ponds. The narrowly heart-shaped foliage is borne on upright stems forming dense clumps. This free flowering variety blooms throughout summer – the blue flower spikes held conspicuously above the foliage. A handsome hardy perennial that will add an architectural element to pond-side plantings. Height: 120cm (48). Spread: 100cm (39).
