Description
Rhododendron ‘Roseum Elegans’
The magnificent trusses of Rhododendron ?Roseum Elegans? hold up to 15 dark purple buds which open from May to June to reveal large, trumpet-like flowers in lilac-pink, decorated with deep red freckles and fading to pink as they mature. The vibrant flowers contrast wonderfully against a background of deep green, leathery leaves. Rhododendron ?Roseum Elegans? grows into a dense, rounded shrub that makes a wonderful focal point and is great for creating hedge screening. An excellent evergreen shrub for brightening a dull spot in woodland borders with acid soil. Height: 2.25m (7.4ft). Spread: 2.5m (8.2ft).
