Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Frisia’
The Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Frisia’ is a medium-sized deciduous tree with an erect, airy form. This magnificent tree can grow in a variety of soils and environments as long as it is protected from severe winds. The pinnate foliage starts out citrus yellow, then darkens to chartreuse-green before turning buttery gold in the fall. In the spring, racemes of white, pea-like flowers bloom among the leaves. This lures pollinators before being replaced by conspicuous brown seedpods. This golden-leaved tree, often called False Acacia, produces a striking specimen plant. Height: 12m (39?).
