Rorippa nasturtium aquaticum (Marginal Aquatic)

Rorippa nasturtium aquaticum, commonly known as our native Watercress, is an edible plant that should only be consumed if grown in clean water. However, it’s just as enjoyable when left in your pond to add beauty to your water garden. Its dark green foliage gracefully spills over hollow, rafting stems across the surface of the water. From May to July, small white flowers bloom in dense clusters at the tips of the stems. Watercress is a fantastic marginal aquatic plant that provides valuable shelter for wildlife. Height: 60cm (24). Spread: 100cm (39). Planting depth: Zones 1 and 2, up to 10cm (4) below water level. Please note, plant size and spread will vary by season, so we list by pot size rather than exact dimensions. The plant’s appearance may differ depending on the time of year.
