Description
Rose filipes ‘Kiftsgate’ (Rambling Rose)
Rose ‘Kiftsgate’ has a powerful growth habit and long, arching, thorny stems characterise this aggressive rambler. It can ramble over a huge wall, an older tree, or a robust building. It can also tolerate shade, which makes it a good choice for a north-facing location. From July to September, masses of solitary, white blooms bloom in drooping clusters with a rich musk aroma. This provides a delight for the senses. All through autumn and winter, the blooms are followed by millions of tiny, orange-red hips, which are adored by birds. Height: 11m (36′). Spread: 8m (26′).
