Rubus ‘Hararasp’ (Raspberry Tree)
This incredible space-saving raspberry tree has been developed by a Japanese breeder named Toshihiko Hara. A groundbreaking variety producing chunky, overwintering stems which are trained to create vertical ‘trees’ with a robust, central trunk bearing a crown of fruiting branches. Rubus ?Hararasp’ will take up very little space so is ideal for smaller gardens and won’t need support or tying in like other raspberry varieties. White blossom will create a beautiful display in April and May and a mass of delicious fruits will follow in May and June. An interesting and edible feature with great disease resistance, boasting attractive, glossy fruits which ripen early and can be harvested over a long period. Maximum height: 75cm (30in). Maximum spread: 50cm (20in).
