Description
Salix exigua
The Coyote Willow is a sturdy deciduous shrub with long, narrow leaves that look almost silvery in the spring because they are covered with fine downy hair that feels velvety to the touch when they first appear. Salix exigue’s leaves mature to a grey green colour and form a dense thicket of growth, perfect for hedging or a garden screen. Catkins, which are up to 6cm (2) long and yellow-grey in colour, dangle down from the branches in the spring. Height: 400cm (157). Spread 400cm (157).
