Description
Schizophragma hydrangeoides ‘Rose Sensation’
Schizophragma hydrangeoides Rose Sensation is a lovely cultivar with beautiful pink lace cap blooms that bloom in flat-topped bunches in June and July. The deep green, ovate, serrated leaves form a thick covering on the robust, woody stalks. For the first few years, this climbing shrub will require tying to the supporting wall, but after that, it will attach itself to the wall by using self-clinging aerial roots. This is a fantastic choice for a north-facing, somewhat sheltered wall. Despite its modest growth rate, once established, it will offer a wonderful wall covering that will bring years of enjoyment. Height: 6m (19′). Spread: 3m (10′).
