Description
Sisyrinchium bellum
This elegant-looking perennial is ideal for rockeries, terracotta pots and the front of sunny borders. Sisyrinchium bellum forms low mounds of evergreen, blue-green foliage which looks very effective planted amongst ornamental grasses. Small, star-like, blue blooms with a yellow centre burst into colour from May to July, each one lasting for only one day but appearing successively en masse. A low maintenance variety which also makes a wonderful addition to bog gardens. Height: 15cm (6?). Spread: 30cm (12?).
