Spiraea betulifolia ‘Tor’

From May to July, Spiraea betulifolia ‘Tor’ produces flattened groups of white flowers that entice butterflies and other pollinating insects. Its thick stem structure is surrounded by birch-like leaves with strongly toothed margins. As autumn approaches, the dark green foliage transforms into stunning shades of orange, red, and purple. Despite only reaching 1m (39 feet) tall, this sleek, sturdy shrub is best suited for low hedging, wildlife gardens, and planting at the front of mixed borders. This birch-leaved Spiraea indeed grows into a charming little shrub with a tidy mounding habit. Height and spread: 100cm (39).
