Stokesia ‘Amethyst’
After years of careful breeding, this new Stokesia variety sets a fresh benchmark for the species, offering vibrant colour and a superior growth habit. The robust stems stand strong against flopping, supporting an impressive display of large, deep purple flowers. These striking blooms are complemented by lush, evergreen foliage that forms dense, compact mounds, maintaining an upright shape throughout the season. Once established, this Stokesia is highly drought-tolerant, thriving in dry, gravelly gardens and Mediterranean-style landscapes, as well as in containers. Mature plants reach a height and spread of 50cm (20in).
