Description
Taxus baccata ‘Black Tower’
A stately, columnar Yew that cuts a tall, imposing figure in the landscape. The dark, evergreen foliage of Taxus baccata ‘Black Tower’ provides year-round colour and structure ? a living exclamation mark among more spreading species! Like all Yew, it lends itself nicely to topiary, forming a natural sculpture with regular pruning. With relatively slow growth, it makes a fine specimen tree after many years, but can be grown to good effect in a smaller garden, where it is slow to outgrow its given space. Height: 5m (16?). Spread: 3m (10?)
