Taxus baccata ‘Summergold’
This golden-leaved Yew has a neat and compact habit that matures into a manageable, evergreen shrub. In the spring, the young foliage emerges bright golden yellow and gradually deepens to yellow-green with a golden edge. Older foliage turns a darker yellow-green colour as it ages. Taxus baccata ‘Summergold’ is an excellent choice for adding formality and year-round colour to rock gardens and borders, as well as for forming a vibrant hedge or screen. This slow-growing variety, like all golden Yews, produces its best colours when grown in full sun. Height and spread: 150cm (5′).
