Thuja plicata ‘4Ever Goldy’
This conifer is a type of Western Red Cedar and is one of the newest Thujas. The foliage is held in upright sprays, giving a pyramidal shaped plant with a beautiful bright golden color. The garden is lifted in the winter by dazzling golden-yellow foliage, which transforms to a light green with a dash of yellow overlay in the summer. If that wasn’t enough, this shrub becomes a beautiful yellow, almost golden-orange color in the autumn before the temperatures begin to climb in the spring. There’s never a dull moment with Thuja plicata ‘4ever Goldy,’ and it’s definitely a plant worth considering. Height: 5m (16′). Spread: 2m (7′).
