A Japanese translation of ?Fire Flame?, Tree Peony ?Shima Nishiki? is a stunning bicolour variety that will be sure to catch the eye! The giant, lightly scented, semi-double blooms have vivid gold stamens in the centre of the slightly ruffled petals that are decorated with irregular pink and white stripes. Height: 1.2m (4ft). Spread: 90cm (3ft). Very few shrubs can beat the charm of tree peonies. Easy to grow and ideal for a sheltered, sunny or semi-shaded position in fertile, free-draining soil. Tree peonies are fully hardy, won’t need regular pruning and show excellent resistance to disease and pests. They will reward you with masses of giant, gently scented flowers in late spring/early summer for decades!
