This beautiful hardy perennial boasts dainty flower spikes of colourful blooms which appear above basal rosettes of crinkly, semi-evergreen foliage. Verbascum phoeniceum is drought tolerant and will brighten borders with its eye-catching flowers from May to July, attracting plenty of pollinating insects. This Purple Mullein will happily seed about and is ideal for a sunny border or cottage garden, as well as making a superb cut flower. Height: 90cm (35?). Spread: 45cm (18?).
