Description
Viburnum x bodnantense ‘Charles Lamont’
Viburnum shrubs are popular in the UK due to their tough, hardy, and resilient behavior in almost any garden situation. From November to March, Viburnum x bodnantense ‘Charles Lamont’ provides excellent winter color with pretty pink, heavily scented flowers borne on bare stems. Cut some of these stems and display them in a vase indoors. With maturity, the dark pink blooms of this viburnum will fade to white. Although the blooms are nearly sterile, you may see a few small, round, purple berries in the summer. By autumn, the plant’s foliage has turned vibrant shades of orange and yellow. Because of its ease of growth and particularly long season of interest, Viburnum ‘Charles Lamont’ has been awarded an RHS AGM. Height: 3m (9.8′). Spread: 2m (6.5′).
