Description
Viburnum x carlcephalum
One of the less well-known Viburnums, but one that deserves to be more well-known! In May, Viburnum × carlcephalum produces domed clusters of pink buds that open into fragrant white blooms. Throughout the summer, the dark green, heart-shaped leaves cloak this well-branched, robust shrub, before turning to shades of scarlet in the autumn. This magnificent Viburnum, also known as the Fragrant Snowball, thrives in a shady location. Ideal for mixed borders and wooded gardens at the back. Height: 6m (19?). Spread: 3m (10?).
