Lesser Periwinkle is one of the toughest plants money can buy, producing plants that flower all summer long. Periwinkle is a vigorous, low-growing shrub that grows well in almost any garden situation, from full sun to the darkest, shadiest corners. This plant’s ground-covering stems provide evergreen, dark green foliage that can help to beat the weeds, as well as inky blue flowers from May to October. Vinca minor, as opposed to Vinca major, is far less invasive and is recommended for small gardens. Perfect for filling in the gaps in the garden where little else grows.
