Weigela florida ‘Alexandra’
Weigela has dark purple leaves and tubular pink flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer. This plant, which has been added to the RHS’s Plants for Pollinators list, is great for attracting a variety of pollinating insects to your garden. As the leaves age, they become virtually black. Weigela florida ‘Alexandra’ is a deciduous, erect, easy-to-grow shrub that thrives in wet soils in sun or part-shade and requires very little maintenance. Height & Spread: 1.5m (5′).
