Wild Cherry (Hedging)
When Wild Cherries are planted in your hedgerows, they produce a magnificent profusion of pure white blooms to kick off the spring season. Once the leaves have matured, the blossoms will begin to grow little, bright red cherries that will not only give color to the hedge but will also attract birds. They can also be collected and used to make jams or cooked into sweets. Finally, just as the leaves begin to fall, an autumn display of reds, golds, and yellows will provide a final splash of color. Height: 12m (39′). Spread: 8m (26′). Planting Distance: 30 cm (12). (4 plants per metre for a single line hedge)
